Ayia Napa's best bars

If you've been searching for bargain all-inclusive holidays online, you'll probably have noticed 'Ayia Napa' appearing in your search results. There's a good reason for that because the town is one of the premier holiday resorts on the sunkissed island of Cyprus - famed for its value-for-money accommodation, beautiful beaches and buzzing nightlife.

You can visit this website to find out more about booking a trip to the resort, but if it's the bars and clubs you're interested in, read on to find out more:

Although Cyprus is a compact island and Agia Napa a relatively small place compared to most cities in the UK, the town is literally overflowing with great nightspots - meaning there's plenty of places for the thousands of Brits who descend on this part of Cyprus to party in.

The majority of these are found along the strip and in the main square, where events such as the Party Hard Bar Crawl are held. However, with so many top spots in such close proximity you hardly need a rep to help you navigate between them.

Although there are plenty of dedicated nightclubs, it can be a good idea to stick to the bars as these tend to be cheaper, yet still have loud music and places to dance if you're that way inclined.

Bedrock Inn

One of the most fun is the Bedrock Inn, which as you might have guessed from the name, has a Flintstones theme. The waitresses here dress up in Wilma outfits and the whole place is decked out to look prehistoric - well the Hanna Barbera interpretation at least! The playlist is slightly more up-to-date and the Inn puts on events such as silent discos, where you dance to music played through wireless headphones, and you can also give singing a go at the karaoke sessions.

Luke Kelly's Irish Pub

Every destination has an Irish pub or two, but Luke Kelly's, which is located on the strip, is one of the best. Always boasting a lively and rowdy atmosphere - exactly what you'd expect from an Irish joint - it's a great place to spend a few hours.

Red Square

Again, the clue's in the name - Red Square is a bar with a distinctly eastern European flavour, catering to the many Russians who visit Cyprus each year. If you're British and are bored of listening to cheese and top 40 hits, it's a great place to go to hear some European house music and down a few shots of quality vodka.

Senior Frogs

One of the more bizarrely named places in Ayia Napa, Senior Frogs is big on branding - with its own Froggie dance and frog merchandise to help you remember your trip. Being amphibious, Senior Frogs is just as happy to host a party down on the beach or on a boat as in its venue on dry land. These events are ideal for making the most of Cyprus' cracking weather and partying during the day when the other bars and clubs are quieter.

Of course, these are just four of tens of venues in Ayia Napa, so even if these don't float your boat, there'll be plenty of places that will. If you love to party, there aren't many better resorts than this one.
